Job summary

System One is seeking a Nuclear I&C Design Engineer to join a remote/offsite team supporting a Bellevue-based project. The role focuses on developing I&C design documentation, system specifications, and regulatory compliance for nuclear applications.

You will collaborate with diverse engineers and suppliers, ensuring high-quality deliverables within project schedules. Ideal candidates have a strong background in I&C, electrical engineering, and technical writing, with familiarity in nuclear

Qualifications

• BS or higher in controls, electrical, or related discipline.
• Experience with instrumentation and controls development and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with nuclear safety or instrumentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with a distributed design team to develop documentation.
• Develop and review system- and component-level specifications.
• Apply nuclear codes, standards, and licensing requirements.
• Describe instrumentation techniques for reactor and energy storage tech.
• Create and manage design documents and P&IDs, control drawings, and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate supplier data and conduct technical deliverable reviews.
• Support licensing activities and integration with other disciplines.
