This 1099 independent contractor role offers remote work and the ability to choose hours. As part of Depositions by Filevine, you will facilitate Zoom sessions, assist participants with technical issues, and help ensure transcripts are captured accurately.

Qualifications

• Active Notary Public license in the state listed.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
• Video-enabled computer with necessary software and Zoom access.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work standard business hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, Mon–Fri).
• Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
• Bonus: Experience in the legal industry.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Zoom sessions with professionalism and warmth.
• Troubleshoot technical issues for attendees.
• Safeguard transcript quality by ensuring optimal audio conditions for transcription software.
• Administer oaths, manage on/off-the-record moments, and handle procedural steps.
• Conduct proceedings in accordance with scripts and prompts for consistency and accuracy.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain a professional presence.
