Job summary

National Iranian American Council (NIAC) is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee financial, administrative, HR, compliance, and systems across NIAC and NIAC Action. The role emphasizes proactive process improvement and ownership with a remote-first setup and preference for Washington, DC area.

The candidate will manage multiple functions, including finance, payroll, HR, compliance, and IT systems, ensuring smooth operations and reliable governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nonprofit operations, finance/HR, or related roles.
• Capable of managing multiple operational functions with ownership.
• Strong organizational, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll, HR, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial, administrative, HR, compliance, and operational systems.
• Manage ADP payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and HR support.
• Coordinate tax filings, audits/reviews, and external accounting needs.
• Administer organizational systems (Google Workspace, Slack, NGNV VAN).
• Develop SOPs, training, and improve efficiency.
