Convergent Research seeks an experienced Controller to oversee the full accounting operation across its entities, including GAAP and federal grant compliance. This fully remote role requires quarterly domestic travel for team onsites and strong leadership of a Finance & Accounting team.

You will design a robust grants program under 2 CFR Part 200, monitor awards, and ensure audit readiness, revenue recognition, and strong internal controls across all entities.

• Seasoned nonprofit accountant with full accounting cycle experience.
• Expert in GAAP, grants, and multi-entity consolidation.
• Proven track record with federal grants compliance and audits.
• Strong people leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Mansioni

• Own the monthly close for Convergent and subsidiaries, including consolidation.
• Lead and develop the Finance & Accounting Managers team.
• Design and implement federal grants compliance under 2 CFR Part 200.
• Oversee awards, budgets, cost-share, drawdowns, and reports.
• Prepare for annual audits and Single Audit, coordinating 990 workpapers.
• Ensure revenue recognition and donor restriction tracking accuracy.
• Maintain accounting SOPs and internal controls across entities.
• Guide the in-house transition from outsourced accounting.
