Job summary

Count On Us Controller Services is seeking an Accountant to perform day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of nonprofit clients. You will work with Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and client CFOs to ensure accurate transactions and timely reporting.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Hybrid work is available with in-office client meetings up to two days per week and a focus on accurate, timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, deposits, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; record journal entries and adjustments.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation and month-end close.
• Support audit preparation, tax reporting, and grant accounting as applicable.
• Collaborate with Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and client CFOs to ensure timely deliverables.
• Identify process improvements and maintain internal controls across client engagements.
