Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP is seeking a Non-QM Underwriter to handle underwriting of complex non-qualified mortgage loans, including bank-statement and alternative-income programs. You will ensure salable loans, stay updated with investor guidelines, and collaborate across sales, processing, underwriting, and compliance teams.

The role requires 3–5 years of Non-QM underwriting experience, strong knowledge of guidelines, and precise documentation analysis.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines, bank-statement programs and alternative income documentation.
• Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and independent underwriting decisions within guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (TRID, TILA, ECOA, HMDA).
• Able to navigate loan origination software and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement and alternative-income programs, with potential support for Conventional loans as needed.
• Ensure loans approved are salable and conform to investor/insurer guidelines.
• Keep up-to-date with investor/insurer guidelines and programs.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Analyze borrower income, assets and credit/liabilities documentation.
• Calculate income types using traditional and alternative documentation.
• Ensure pipeline closings occur timely.
• Meet KPI and KRI targets.
• Resolve complex loan issues and communicate with sales and processing teams.
