Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP is a National Mortgage Lender based in Jacksonville, FL. We seek a Non-QM Underwriter to assess complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications, focusing on bank-statement and alternative income documentation, while ensuring closings meet investor and insurer guidelines.

The role requires 3-5 years of Non-QM underwriting, knowledge of FNMA/Freddie Mac conventions, and the ability to navigate loan origination software. Collaboration with sales and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines, bank-statement programs and alternative income documentation.
• Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and independent underwriting decisions within guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (TRID, TILA, ECOA, HMDA).
• Able to navigate loan origination software.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement and other alt-doc programs.
• Ensure loans approved are salable and conform to investor/insurer guidelines.
• Keep up with the latest investor/insurer guidelines/programs.
• Analyze borrower income, assets, and credit/liabilities documentation.
• Ensure pipeline closes timely and KPI metrics are met.
• Develop strong working relationships with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, and compliance teams.
• Research and respond to QA/QC reviews.
• Report material infractions to Underwriting Leadership.
