Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP, a National Mortgage Lender, is seeking a Non-QM Underwriter to assess complex non-qualified mortgage loans and manage an assigned pipeline. You will underwrite bank-statement and other alternative-income loans, ensuring salability and adherence to investor guidelines.

The role requires 3–5 years of Non-QM underwriting, strong knowledge of bank-statement programs, and the ability to navigate mortgage software.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and bank-statement programs.
Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions.
Knowledge of federal and state laws (TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA).
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement and other alternative-documentation programs.
Ensure loans conform to investor and insurer guidelines.
Stay current with investor and insurer guidelines and programs.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Analyze borrower income, assets, and credit/liabilities documents.
Close loans in a timely manner and maintain KPI metrics.
Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, and compliance teams.
Respond to QA/QC reviews in a timely manner.
