Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP is a national mortgage lender hiring a Non-QM Underwriter to assess bank-statement and alternative income documentation, ensure salability under investor guidelines, and maintain compliance with TRID/TILA/ECOA/HMDA. The role involves complex income analysis, collaborating with sales, processing and compliance teams, and delivering timely closings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines, bank-statement programs and alternative income documentation.
• Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions within guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA).
• Ability to write correspondence and present information to peers, borrowers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting Non-QM loans and supporting Conventional loans as needed.
• Ensure loans approved are salable and conform to investor/insurer guidelines.
• Stay updated on investor and insurer guidelines/programs.
• Analyze borrower income, assets and credit documentation.
• Close loans within the assigned pipeline and meet KPI metrics.
• Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, and compliance teams.
• Respond to QA/QC reviews and report gaps to leadership.
