Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP is a National Mortgage Lender headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. We are seeking a skilled Non-QM Underwriter to handle underwriting of complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications and manage a loan pipeline.

You will analyze borrower income, including complex self-employed income, and ensure compliance with investor and insurer guidelines while meeting KPI targets and working closely with sales, processing, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines, bank-statement programs and alternative income documentation.
• Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions within established guidelines and approval authority.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (e.g., TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA).
• Able to write correspondence and to effectively present information to peers, borrowers and in some cases clients.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement and other alternative-documentation programs.
• Ensure loans approved are salable and conform to investor and insurer guidelines.
• Keep up with current investor and insurer guidelines/programs.
• Analyze borrower income, including complex self-employed income, assets and credit/liabilities documentation.
• Calculate simple and complex income types using traditional and alternative documentation.
• Ensure loans close timely within the pipeline and meet KPIs.
