HonorBridge, Inc. is seeking a Referral Allocation Coordinator to manage organ referrals, coordinate allocation, and support donor case progression across our service area.

This night shift role requires three 12-hour shifts per week, with on-call duties and periodic travel; remote work from North Carolina is common, with travel to HonorBridge offices as needed. The RAC collaborates with hospital teams, transplant centers, surgeons, and the AOC to ensure timely evaluation and progression of

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in a healthcare-related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare environment.
• EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN, or other clinical professional preferred.
• OPO experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Experience with medical documentation and data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
• Commitment to organ and tissue donation and HonorBridge’s mission.
• North Carolina residency required.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the on-call referral and allocation coordinator.
• Complete initial evaluations of new organ referrals via medical record review.
• Monitor active referrals and assess changes in patient status with care teams.
• Collaborate with the Administrator on Call to support donor case progression.
• Activate organ recovery and clinical staff as directed.
• Coordinate and complete allocation of organs for transplantation.
• Initiate, manage, and document organ offers per OPTN policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in HonorBridge systems and UNOS records.
• Monitor donor culture results as needed and protect confidentiality of information.
• Participate in meetings and quality/improvement initiatives.
