Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Bioinformatics Application Scientist, NGS - AMER to join a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech. This role blends bioinformatics, customer engagement, and sales support to translate NGS capabilities into practical solutions for researchers.

Location: Remote. Compensation: $125,000 – $141,000 annually. The candidate will collaborate with sales, product, and technical teams on design, data analysis, and pre-/post-sales discussions in a fast-moving biotech environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years biotech or commercial genomics experience, or BS/MS with 7+ years experience.
• Strong knowledge of NGS applications and bioinformatics for data analysis (WES, RNA-seq, methylation).
• Proficiency with Linux environments and command-line tools; ability to troubleshoot analytically.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical pre-/post-sales support for NGS capabilities.
• Design and support custom NGS panel designs to meet goals.
• Provide bioinformatics support for NGS data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Assist the sales team in technical discussions and customer presentations.
• Offer high-level guidance on experiments using the company’s products.
• Stay current on genomic research and advancements.
• Serve as liaison between customers, sales, product management and internal teams.
