Twist Bioscience Corporation seeks a Bioinformatics Application Scientist, NGS - AMER, to serve as a customer-facing expert supporting Twist’s NGS target enrichment portfolio. The role is remote in the USA with up to 10% travel, collaborating with Sales, R&D, and Production to translate customer needs into actionable designs and analyses.

You will design and support custom NGS panels, provide bioinformatics support for data analysis, and contribute to market development and post-sales

Formación

• PhD in Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years biotech/commercial Genomics experience.
• BS or MS in Bioinformatics or related field with 7+ years biotech/commercial Genomics experience.
• Strong bioinformatics and NGS applications knowledge (WES, RNA-seq, Methylation).
• Experience with standard bioinformatics tools (BWA, GATK, IGV, UCSC, SAMtools, Picard, bedtools).
• Proficient in Linux and command line operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative work style.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert bioinformatics input in pre- and post-sales discussions with customers.
• Design and support custom NGS panel designs using existing workflows (White Glove Service).
• Provide bioinformatics support for NGS data analysis to assist troubleshooting and concept validation.
• Support sales in technical discussions, presentations, and customer meetings.
• Offer high-level technical guidance on experiments using Twist products.
• Stay updated on genomic research and advancements in the field.
• Coordinate with customer, sales, product management, R&D and production teams.
• Foster collaborations with Sales to gather customer requirements for new applications/products.
• Attend field meetings and customer visits up to 10% travel.
• Ensure adherence to QMS/ISMS and regulatory requirements.
