US Oncology Network, Texas Oncology seeks a New Patient Coordinator to join the Radiation Oncology team in Austin. This full-time remote role supports patient access, insurance verification, and scheduling for exams and procedures in the 6204 Balcones clinic.

Under supervision, you will maintain records, verify information, and ensure timely access to care while upholding HIPAA and compliance standards across the network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years revenue cycle or patient access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the new patient referral process within department standards.
• Provide strong customer service to patients and stakeholders as first point of contact.
• Assess patient needs to triage referrals and prioritize workflow.
• Answer calls, take messages and respond to routine inquiries.
• Follow up on missing medical records and test results from referring providers.
• Verify and register patient accounts in the practice management system.
• Assist with insurance benefits and eligibility investigations.
• Provide patients with appointment details and directions.
