Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking a Network Support Specialist I for a remote role with in-person training at our High Point, NC location. You will help residential and small business customers troubleshoot issues across Voice, Data, Security, and Video services.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer support or network troubleshooting, a high school diploma, and comfort with technical documentation and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer support, network troubleshooting, or technical service—preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or relevant coursework are a plus.
• Comfortable reading and applying technical documentation, manuals, and procedures.
• Proficient with computer, email applications, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across voice, data, security, and video services for residential/small business customers.
• Support both Business and Residential products with timely solutions.
• Document all interactions and updates in the service database.
• Monitor outages and maintenance events and escalate as needed.
• Identify root causes and implement solutions; escalate unresolved issues.
