Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented C# Developer - II for a remote role supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). This full-time, U.S.-based position requires 5+ years of .NET experience, strong C#, MVC, REST APIs, and cloud familiarity.

You will perform full-stack development with .NET, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, write unit tests, and collaborate in an Agile environment. A candidate must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance and be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in software development using .Net technologies.
• Strong experience with .Net Core and MVC architecture.
• Proficiency in OOP and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs.
• Database design and development with SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Cloud familiarity (Azure and AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Version control with Git, TFVC, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks (NUnit/xUnit/MSTest).
• Proficient in Visual Studio and Git tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, and test planning for software systems.
• Develop full-stack solutions using .NET and C#, with CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in daily stand-ups as an active team member.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Mentor junior developers and promote good software engineering practices.
• Document software designs with diagrams and module descriptions.
• Interface with stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Apply test automation and modularization to improve reusability.
