Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a talented C# Developer - II for a remote, full-time role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires strong .NET/C# expertise, MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices. U.S.

citizenship and Public Trust (MBI) clearance are required. This is a 100% remote, W2 opportunity. Five+ years of software development experience with .NET technologies and a proven track record on enterprise applications is expected.

Qualifications

• Expertise in .Net framework and .Net Core, with a strong understanding of C#.
• Proficiency in developing back-end applications using MVC architecture and .Net core.
• Strong Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs.
• Proficiency in database design and development, including SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and services.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, TFVC).
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy).
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest).
• Proficiency in tools like Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning and detailed requirements definition for software systems.
• Develop back-end services using C#/.NET and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in daily stand-ups as an active software development team member.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in software engineering.
• Document software designs with diagrams and module descriptions.
• Use IDEs like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git for development and collaboration.
