Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Training Specialist/Instructional Developer to support analysis, design, and development of Navy training products. The role will be fully remote with potential site interaction and requires collaboration with Government SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and instructional effectiveness.

The successful candidate will develop objectives, scripts, storyboards, and assessments aligned with NAVEDTRA standards, applying adult learning principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Instructional systems design, curriculum development, or training development experience.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into learning solutions.
• Experience mapping learning objectives to requirements.
• Strong scriptwriting and storyboard-development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end instructional design activities with Government SMEs.
• Develop, map, and validate learning objectives.
• Write instructional scripts and develop detailed storyboards.
• Coordinate with multimedia developers to ensure NAVEDTRA conformance.
• Facilitate SME reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure alignment with NAVEDTRA standards and government requirements.
