Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a National Leader of the Ophthalmology Account Management Team in the United States.

You will oversee a field team of Account Directors and drive strategic engagement with retina practices, managed-care networks, and PE-backed entities. You will report to the US Franchise Leader of Ophthalmology and participate in the Franchise Leadership Team, shaping the market and establishing our company as a leader in ophthalmology care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical/biotech with senior leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex accounts.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee Ophthalmology Account Management Team across districts.
• Shape strategic direction as part of US Ophthalmology Leadership Team.
• Provide executive sponsorship for key accounts with C-suite engagement.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration for pull-through across SAMs, Field Sales, and Medical teams.
• Coach and develop high-performing field teams and ensure accountability.
• Drive launch excellence and market shaping through engagement plans and resource optimization.
