Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks a National Leader of Ophthalmology Account Management to guide a field team of Account Directors and Key Account Managers focused on Retina practices and major networks.

You will set strategic direction, engage executives, and drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize patient outcomes and product access. You will report to the US Franchise Leader of Ophthalmology and participate in the Franchise Leadership Team, overseeing talent development and market shaping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in pharma/biotech or related field.
• 7+ years managing direct reports.
• 5+ years strategic/key account management with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and recruit Ophthalmology Account Management Team across districts.
• Shape strategic direction as part of the US Ophthalmology Leadership Team.
• Provide executive-level engagement for key accounts.
• Coach and mentor a high-performing field team.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution to ensure seamless pull-through.
