Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a medical affairs leader to drive evidence-based demonstrations of value for our portfolio across national accounts. You will lead the medical strategy, liaise with payer stakeholders and coordinate remote engagement with matrix teams and vendors.

You will educate payers and regional teams, deliver training on health outcomes, and mentor the Market Medical Liaison staff while maintaining alignment with our core values and vision for patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Public Health or related field.
• Experience with US healthcare payer systems including PBMs and GPOs.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based healthcare economic and clinical information to support portfolio value.
• Lead development and execution of medical strategy for national accounts.
• Communicate payer coverage changes to Field Medical Affairs and downstream teams.
• Collaborate with national payer stakeholders to educate and improve patient outcomes.
• Lead remote customer engagement projects with matrix teams and vendors.
• Build relationships with national health care decision makers and share market insights.
• Liaise with Medical Strategy, GVRWE and other stakeholders to implement strategy.
• Provide strategic input to market access and payer-related medical activities.
• Deliver clinical and health outcomes training for Market Access partners.
• Coordinate with FMA Training to update resources for MML team.
• Lead national payer congress activities including outreach and exhibit management.
• Mentor regional MMLs and exemplify Otsuka core values.
• Act as Medical Affairs landscape expert at the national level.
• Communicate payer landscape developments to leadership and partners.
• Serve as a cultural ambassador within FMA across therapeutics.
