Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a Technical Applications Scientist to support the Northeast US, Canada and LATAM, providing guidance from experimental design to data analysis. This remote East Coast role requires strong molecular biology and NGS knowledge, with travel up to 20%.

You will engage with researchers, troubleshoot complex issues, document interactions in CRM, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• BSc in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Experience with molecular biology and NGS preferred; bioinformatics a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving; able to explain concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work remotely on East Coast.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line applications support across sequencing workflow via email, phone, chat and Zoom for post-sales customers.
• Troubleshoot technical queries and deliver effective solutions.
• Assist with experimental design, workflow implementation, validation and data analysis; escalate when needed.
• Prioritize and manage multiple cases; ensure timely resolutions and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with technical, commercial and product teams to enhance customer experience, including pre-sales support.
