Job summary

Toole Design Group in Fresno, CA is seeking a Transportation Planner to join our remote-enabled, purpose-driven team. You will lead multimodal analyses, manage projects, and engage with communities to design safer, more equitable streets from urban cores to rural trails.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning or related fields, fluent Spanish, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in planning, engineering, design, public health, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field; additional years may substitute for degree.
• Fluent in Spanish for community engagement activities.
• Experience in multimodal transportation planning and public engagement.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate technical ideas clearly in writing.
• Proficiency with Excel and descriptive statistics.
• Local knowledge or professional network is a bonus.
• Experience with visual communication (maps/graphics) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses for travel safety, accessibility, and equity.
• Manage projects and tasks; coordinate with teams and clients.
• Engage communities through fieldwork and public outreach.
• Travel occasionally within the region for fieldwork and meetings.
• Support multimodal corridor studies, Safe Routes to School, and Complete Streets.
