Job summary

The Jacobson Group is seeking a highly experienced Multiline Corporate Underwriting Consultant to support a major expansion initiative. This remote role leads development and refinement of underwriting guidelines across property, liability, auto, umbrella, inland marine and crime, while partnering with leadership on appetite frameworks and governance standards.

You will translate guidelines into training curricula for onboarding and ongoing education, delivering both virtual and in-person

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Expertise across multiple lines: property, liability, auto, umbrella, inland marine, crime.
• Experience developing underwriting guidelines and appetite frameworks.
• Proven ability to create and deliver underwriting training programs.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal onboarding.
• Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of underwriting guidelines and appetite frameworks across multiple lines.
• Create underwriting authority guidance and decision-making standards to ensure consistency in underwriting practices.
• Partner with underwriting leadership to align standards across products and segments.
• Review and refine underwriting documentation to enable scalable growth and efficiency.
• Assist in developing underwriting governance standards and business rules.
