Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an experienced leader to manage a Personal Lines underwriting team in a fully remote role. You will drive underwriting quality, coach associates, and partner with product, pricing and tech teams to implement improvements. Strong people leadership, risk judgment and a history of delivering profitable growth are essential.

You will oversee workflow, adherence to SLAs, and escalation handling, while planning budgets and directing development initiatives across the unit.

Qualifications

• Six years in underwriting, customer service or related fields; supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree; CPCU or continuing education is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of personal lines products, regulations and underwriting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a personal lines underwriting team across territory or state footprint.
• Ensure adherence to service standards, quality processes and guidelines.
• Collaborate with product, pricing, compliance and technology teams on changes.
• Provide technical guidance and training to associates; manage budgets and planning.
• Drive profitable underwriting results and growth through leadership and risk management.
