Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to be the external facing scientific expert in Medical Affairs. The role is remote in the United States and reports to the Director, Field Medical Team.

You will educate healthcare providers, engage with KOLs, and support the endocrinology portfolio with scientific presentations and disease-state expertise. Ideal candidates hold an MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent with 5+ years of pharma MSL experience, pediatric endocrinology or rare disease

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present scientific data clearly
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own schedule
• Willingness to travel ~50-75% to geographic areas
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders in Medical Affairs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field-based medical representative for Medical Affairs
• Educate healthcare providers about disease states and Ascendis endocrinology portfolio
• Identify KOLs and organizations to build strategic engagement in geography
• Develop and maintain KOL engagement plans and capture external insights
• Collaborate with MOSLs to support regional scientific deliverables
• Provide scientific support at medical congresses and internal/external meetings
• Deliver onboarding and ongoing medical training for sales and marketing colleagues
• Document activities in CRM and ensure compliance with policies
