Job summary

Ascendis Pharma seeks a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the field-based external medical representative within Medical Affairs. You will educate healthcare providers, identify leaders, and develop a robust KOL engagement plan across endocrinology states and institutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a medical science liaison required.
• Pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Must be outgoing and appreciate interacting with healthcare providers and researchers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for virtual and live settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field-based external facing medical representation of Medical Affairs.
• Create awareness of Ascendis Pharma in the endocrinology community and communicate TransCon potential.
• Maintain a high level of medical expertise to support portfolio and disease states.
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Identify key opinion leaders and organizations for disease states within a geography.
• Capture external insights and communicate to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan within geography.
• Collaborate with MOSLs to support regional deliverables.
• Provide scientific support at medical congresses and internal/external meetings.
• Engage with external researchers for IITs and support clinical trial operations.
