Memorial Hermann Health System in the United States seeks a Medical Physicist to implement and maintain advanced imaging technologies across a large health system. In this home-based role, you will lead CT and MRI protocol development, particularly in cardiac imaging, and collaborate with vendors to evaluate new technologies.

Formación

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field is required.
• PhD is preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty is required.
• Board Certification by ABR or equivalent boards is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and practices.
• Oversees Equipment Performance Evaluations for imaging equipment.
• Performs dosimetry and shielding calculations to meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinates with architects on radiation shielding and space utilization.
• Participates in quarterly audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigates radiation incidents and leads corrective actions as subject expert.
• Oversees Radiation Protocol and Radiation Safety Committee activities.
• Assists with ACR accreditation and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Coordinates acceptance testing of new imaging equipment and performance requirements.
• Ensures safe care, adherence to Memorial Hermann policies and budgets.
• Supports professional development and mentors staff.
