Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Medical Physicist to implement and maintain advanced imaging technologies, lead CT and MRI protocol development, and advise imaging leadership on equipment and purchasing decisions. This home-based role supports a large health system with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, attend radiation safety committees, and contribute to professional development and vendor partnerships to shape imaging

Competenze

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics or related field; PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• Board Certification by ABR or similar board.
• Four years of related experience preferred.
• Member of AAPM or equivalent society.
• Eligible to be the Radiation Safety Officer for RAM licenses and X-ray registrations.

Mansioni

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary RSO liaison to Texas DoS Health Services.
• Oversees radiation safety policies and practices to minimize exposure.
• Oversees Equipment Performance Evaluations for imaging equipment.
• Collaborates with health physicist on radiation incident investigations.
• Participates in Radiation Protocol and Radiation Safety Committee meetings.
• Assists with ACR accreditation processes as needed.
• Coordinates acceptance testing of new imaging equipment.
