You will lead CT and MRI protocol development, collaborate with vendors on new technologies, and advise imaging leadership on equipment purchases and program direction.

You will stay at the forefront of the field through professional development and conferences, while ensuring adherence to ALARA and regulatory standards across the health system.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics or related field is required.
• PhD is preferred but not required.
• Texas License in Medical Physics is required.
• Board Certification by ABR or equivalent boards is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray registrations and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations for X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound equipment.
• Coordinates shielding calculations and regulatory compliance activities with facilities teams.
• Participates in RPC/RSC meetings and AC R accreditation activities.
