Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics or related field required; PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics required.
• Board Certification by ABR or American Board Science of Nuclear Medicine or ABHP or equivalent board certification.
• Clinical experience post-graduate training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray Registration and RAM licenses.
• Assists in radiation safety policy development to minimize exposure and ensure standards.
• Coordinates testing and evaluation of imaging equipment and shielding as per regulations.
• Leads RPC and RSC meetings to implement best safety practices.
