Qualifications

• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• Board Certification by ABR or other recognized board.
• Clinical experience post graduate training preferred.
• Member of AAPM or equivalent society.
• Eligible to be principal Radiation Safety Officer for RAM licenses and COR.

Responsabilités

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray registrations and RAM licenses.
• Develops radiation safety policies to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Oversees EPEs for x-ray and other imaging equipment and audits image quality.
• Coordinates shielding and dosimetry calculations to meet regulatory requirements.
