Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas is seeking a Medical Physicist for a home-based role. You will implement and maintain imaging technologies, lead CT and MRI protocol development—particularly in cardiac imaging—and advise imaging leadership on equipment purchases.

You will work with the radiation safety team to ensure regulatory compliance, provide quarterly reports to the Director of Radiation Safety, and help shape the growth of a collaborative medical physics program across the health

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a related field.
• PhD preferred.
• Texas Medical Physics license required.
• Board certification by ABR or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary RSO liaison to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and practices to minimize exposure.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations for x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging.
• Supports accreditation and regulatory surveys, and coordinates testing of new imaging equipment.
