Neighbors Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Auditor to join our Risk Management team, focusing on mortgage loan originations and servicing for compliance and quality improvements.

The role emphasizes independent analysis, trend identification, and collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve audit findings and drive process enhancements. This remote position supports our nationwide operations in a fast-evolving regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing mortgage origination quality control or mortgage servicing quality control.
• Experience reviewing mortgage loan files for compliance with investor and agency guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA).
• Complete understanding of TRID guidelines and federal mortgage regulations as they relate to mortgage quality control.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control audits of mortgage loan originations and servicing activities to ensure compliance with policies, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Review loan files, underwriting decisions, and processes to identify deficiencies, monitor trends, and support corrective actions.
• Partner with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve audit findings, and strengthen quality throughout the mortgage loan lifecycle.
• Analyze audit results, assist with root cause analysis, and prepare clear reports that support continuous process improvement.
• Prepare responses to external audit findings and assist with self-reporting to investors and agencies when required.
• Stay current on federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and agency guidelines that impact mortgage operations.
