Job summary

Capital Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Processor for a 100% remote role. You will collaborate with loan originators to process mortgage applications, ensure accuracy, and assemble documents for underwriting to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities include calculating principal, interest and closing costs, obtaining credit reports, appraisals, and titles, and communicating with borrowers.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience indicate mortgage industry background and knowledge of lending requirements.
• Proven customer service ability in mortgage processing roles.
• Experience with conventional, FHA and VA loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Calculates principal, interest and closing costs and notifies borrower accordingly.
• Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing applications and gathering missing information.
• Verifies loan application information with verification sources.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, appraisals, titles, etc.
• Identifies deficiencies and notifies underwriting or supervisor.
• Discloses new loans, issues COCs and completes loan setup.
