Job summary

Zillow Group Inc. in Michigan is seeking a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within Zillow's ecosystem.

You will guide borrowers from first contact through funding while delivering a best-in-class experience, in a role that may be high-volume or relationship-based depending on the team you join. The position requires 3+ years of mortgage origination, CORE Pre-Licensing, and NMLS licensing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with a strong emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE MLO Test.
• Physically located in and working remotely from Michigan.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume or agent-centric models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and mortgage process knowledge.
• Excellent verbal communication and pipeline management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft products.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline to meet service levels, productivity metrics, and funding expectations.
• Leverage Zillow’s CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements.
