Job summary

Southwest Funding LP is seeking a highly organized Loan Officer Assistant to support our lending team in a fast-paced remote environment. You will input loan applications, review borrower credit and income to verify guidelines, and coordinate documents in Encompass while ensuring timely disclosures.

Strong communication and attention to detail are essential to help clients and realtors achieve a smooth closing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mortgage lending or processing experience
• Experience with Encompass, DU, LP, and GUS
• Familiarity with loan products (FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA)
• Strong MS Office skills especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files

Responsibilities

• Input loan applications accurately and efficiently
• Review borrower credit and income to verify guidelines
• Request, gather, organize, and upload borrower documentation into Encompass
• Request disclosures and ensure timely delivery
• Order appraisals and title work as needed
• Proactively follow up with clients, realtors, and team members to ensure smooth file flow and best-in-class service
