Job summary

The Mortgage Law Firm is seeking a Default Specialist to support client service and default operations. You will monitor communications, document inquiries, maintain case records, and route matters to the appropriate teams.

The role covers foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, litigation, and related mortgage default work. Responsibilities include establishing accurate records, handling calls, providing compliant information, and generating standard reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, call center, administrative support, legal services, mortgage servicing, loss mitigation support, or another deadline-driven office environment preferred.
• Experience entering and maintaining accurate information in case management systems, trackers, client platforms, or similar business systems preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow written procedures, and work within clearly defined authority.

Responsibilities

• Accept new matters and establish accurate records in the firm’s case management system from client documents.
• Review documents and enter information to identify requirements and deadlines, escalating when needed.
• Monitor client, shared, and departmental correspondence and route communications per procedures.
• Handle incoming calls professionally, document details, and route inquiries to the appropriate resource.
• Communicate with borrowers and homeowners using approved procedures, avoiding legal advice beyond authority.
