Job summary

ServiceMac in the United States seeks a Default Loan Servicing Specialist to support foreclosure actions across the mortgage portfolio. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, timely actions, and detailed file reviews within a governed process.

The candidate will monitor attorney performance, manage deadlines, and perform audits and data entry to ensure accuracy and risk control. A background in mortgage servicing and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of directly related experience such as Mortgage Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and/or Legal.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to early-stage, late-stage, reporting, and litigation in the default loan servicing process.
• Monitor and complete activities leading up to the First Legal Action in foreclosure actions in accordance with compliance and guidelines.
• Ensure foreclosure is processed in compliance with state and federal laws while following investor, insurer, agency and company guidelines.
• Ensure First Legal Actions are completed by established deadlines by managing impediments and extensions as needed.
• Conduct complete reviews of foreclosure files to ensure all timeframes and regulatory compliance are met.
• Monitor attorney performance by reviewing proceedings, records and timeframes throughout the foreclosure process.
• Diligently follow up on outstanding requests from internal and external partners.
• Audit accounts for expense compliance and proper system recording.
• Perform research on loans with questionable items and respond to audit and quality control requests.
