Job summary

First American is seeking a Default Loan Servicing Specialist to manage mortgage foreclosure files, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws while coordinating with attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, and other parties involved in the foreclosure process.

You will monitor timelines, follow up on outstanding requests, and support risk controls to minimize exposure while delivering timely, accurate service in a remote, nationwide environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of directly related experience such as Mortgage Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and/or Legal.

Responsibilities

• Process foreclosure filings in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Ensure deadlines are met and manage impediments to First Legal Action.
• Review foreclosure files for timely, compliant processing and records.
• Coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, and trustees throughout foreclosure.
• Monitor attorney performance and review all proceedings and timeframes.
