Job summary

Iron Core Rentals is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage financials for Modesto Operations with a remote setup based in Mexico. You will handle the general ledger, loan commissions, vendor invoices, and period-end statements to keep books audit-ready as the mortgage brokerage scales.

The role requires 3+ years in bookkeeping/accounting, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and English proficiency (C2+). Remote work from Mexico with US Pacific Time hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience in mortgage/real estate/commission-based industry.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Comfortable reconciling revenue against a pipeline/CRM system.
• Excellent written & spoken English (C2+).
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a distraction‑free remote setup.
• Ability to work US Pacific Time hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and monthly reconciliations across operating and trust/escrow-adjacent accounts.
• Track and reconcile loan commission income against closed loan files.
• Manage accounts payable: loan officer commissions, vendor invoices, and recurring costs.
• Reconcile lender payouts and fee disbursements against the loan pipeline.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Maintain audit-ready recordkeeping per mortgage industry norms.
