Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Product Developer for modular design in data center projects. The role translates customer requirements into product features, geometry and functions, and covers sketches, submittals, BOMs and schedules.

Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the position offers remote work with travel to modular plants as needed and a competitive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certificate in engineering drafting or design or related field.
• 3–5 years in a product development role in industrial manufacturing, or equivalent electrician/project manager experience.
• Ability to translate concepts into concrete design ideas and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sketches or drawings
• Equipment submittal review and implementation
• Packaging product submittals
• Writing design narratives
• Producing and maintaining a development schedule in MS Project
• Obtaining product data from vendors or manufacturers
• Producing a bill of material
• Participating and presenting in team meetings
• Conducting research on processes, materials, or manufacturers
• Collaborating with peer product developers on design best practices
• Innovatively creating cost savings opportunities
