Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a Product Developer to translate customer requirements into modular data center features, geometry and functions. You will prepare sketches, review equipment submittals, package product data, and manage a development schedule with MS Project.

The role collaborates with peers, conducts material/process research, and contributes to cost-saving design practices. Location options include remote with travel to modular plant as necessary; salary ranges from

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational or Technical Certificate in engineering drafting or design, industrial technology, manufacturing design, mechanical design, or electrical design with 3–5 years’ product development experience OR 3–5 years as a licensed journeyman electrician in modular building infrastructure OR 3–5 years as a PM for an electrical contractor.
• Proficient in reading electrical/mechanical drawings and control diagrams.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Navis, Bluebeam Revu and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product features, geometry, and functions.
• Prepare sketches or drawings and review equipment submittals.
• Package product submittals, write design narratives, and maintain development schedules.
• Collaborate with peers and present in team meetings; research processes, materials, or manufacturers.
