Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is actively hiring a remote Model Risk Advisor to promote governance practices and oversee AI policies and standards. The role focuses on maintaining model inventories, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance across the organization.

You will collaborate with risk teams, auditors, and internal stakeholders to drive governance improvements and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 4+ years of AI model governance experience.
• Experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit within a large enterprise.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Ability to author and communicate technical and business information clearly.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance programs across a large organization.
• Knowledge of AI governance policies, standards, controls and monitoring.
• Understanding of AI ethics, governance, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Promote effective governance practices and support AI policies and standards adoption.
• Engage with the enterprise AI community to promote awareness and adoption of governance policies.
• Maintain inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities and communicate recommendations.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities including audits and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive-level insights on AI governance and model risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams, risk, auditors, and external suppliers to maintain governance documentation.
