Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Model Risk Advisor to promote governance, maintain AI policies, and drive compliance across enterprise AI activities. This remote role supports collaboration with risk, auditors, and internal teams to strengthen governance across the organization.

The role emphasizes developing metrics, overseeing model inventories, and coordinating validation efforts while staying aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in model risk management, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI model governance or model risk management, or audit; degree substitution allowed.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI governance standards.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the enterprise AI community to promote AI governance policies and practices.
• Establish inventory of AI/ML models with ownership, risk ratings and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements and business impact.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, policies and procedures.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing by defining scope and documenting findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and model risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and external partners on governance docs and risks.
• Monitor regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
