Job summary

Plastic Executive Recruiters, representing an established manufacturer of industrial capital equipment, seeks a Field Sales Representative to grow its Midwest territory. You will sell complete extrusion systems and upgrades to plastics manufacturers, with autonomy to manage and expand the existing customer base.

Join a team with strong technical support and a comprehensive training program, and travel 50–75% across Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Kentucky as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of outside B2B sales experience in industrial equipment or manufacturing solutions.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand and communicate complex equipment capabilities.
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing relationships.
• Experience selling capital equipment with longer, consultative sales cycles.
• Plastics extrusion or related processing equipment experience is a plus, but not required.
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive prospecting.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers.
• Sell capital equipment and complete extrusion systems, upgrades, retrofits, and rebuild solutions.
• Identify opportunities across plastics-related markets.
• Build relationships with plant managers, engineering leaders, and other manufacturing decision-makers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical discovery through proposal presentation and closing.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, quoting, and technical support teams to develop customer solutions.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity, and pipeline information within the CRM system.
