Job summary

charity: water is seeking a Key Relationships Officer: Mid-Level Program to cultivate and steward mid-level donors and grow giving to sustain our mission. You will manage engagements, cultivate relationships, and move donors toward higher levels of support while meeting revenue targets, reporting to the Vice President of Key Relationships.

You’ll travel within the United States, collaborate with the team, and leverage storytelling to demonstrate donor impact and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of frontline fundraising experience with a proven track record of closing gifts of $6,000–$10,000.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship abilities.
• Ability to travel within the U.S. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 350–600 mid-level donors, aiming to raise $1–3M annually.
• Identify and cultivate top donors for upgrading to $10K+ gifts.
• Build long-term donor relationships through personalized engagements (virtual/phone/video).
• Develop a metrics-driven portfolio strategy with CRM updates and targeted outreach.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align donor priorities with program goals.
