Job summary

charity: water is seeking a dedicated Key Relationships Officer who will cultivate, pitch, and steward donors. You’ll build relationships with supporters both virtually and in person, communicating organizational priorities and donor impact, and growing giving over time.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust portfolio of major gift supporters capable of donating 25K+ annually and raising 2M+ in total annual revenue once onboarded
• Provide strategic stewardship to local exec leaders and other fundraisers to advance cultivation within high-capacity portfolios
• Cultivate long-term relationships with individuals and families, increasing participation and lifetime value
• Visit donors regularly in person and virtually across assigned region
• Serve as point-of-contact for visitors at The Experience Lab in Franklin, TN when needed
• Deliver exceptional donor experience with timely updates and rapport-building
• Communicate effectively, connect necessary dots, add value
• Provide timely thank you notes, progress reports, and completion reports
• Identify potential major donor prospects with the Prospect Development Manager and nurture into sponsors
• Support planning and execution of major donor events to share charity: water story
• Travel solo or with team to visit supporters and host events to sharpen fundraising skills
• Deepen nonprofit industry knowledge to inform daily decisions
• Hone writing and presentation skills for external/internal communication
• Support the greater KR team with leadership and project management on designated initiatives
