Job summary

charity: water is seeking a Key Relationships Officer: Mid-Level Program to cultivate and steward mid-level donors, targeting $6K–$10K annual gifts and building a pipeline for major gifts. You will engage supporters virtually, by phone or video, report to the VP of Key Relationships, and drive revenue goals with cross-team collaboration.

You will manage a 350–600 donor portfolio, identify top prospects, and nurture long-term relationships to increase lifetime giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years frontline fundraising with a track record of closing gifts $6K–$10K.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive presenter.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Experience collaborating across teams and with executives.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of ~350–600 mid-level donors aiming to raise $1–3M annually.
• Identify top prospects and develop one-to-one engagement to upgrade giving.
• Cultivate long-term donor relationships and expand lifetime value.
• Provide scalable stewardship through regular conversations (virtual/phone).
• Develop a metrics-driven plan for conversations, invitations, retention and upgrades.
• Maintain up-to-date CRM records and segment portfolio for outreach.
