Job summary

Premera Blue Cross in the United States is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation analysis and manage enrollment and billing issues within a primarily telecommuter role.

You will work with Excel and Access, resolve discrepancies, educate members and brokers on processes, and maintain accurate notes while meeting department metrics. This position offers a comprehensive rewards package and flexible pay ranges depending on location.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree.
• One year of experience as Membership Analyst I or in a reconciliation role.
• Health or insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve, and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, premium transfers, reinstatements, and NSF issues.
• Update enrollment and eligibility changes as needed with thorough notes.
• Validate accounts receivable by auditing premiums and member data.
• Use Excel and Access to update eligibility, enrollment, and reconciliation.
• Meet department production and quality metrics.
